We understand Architecture as a “sensitive construction” that responds to the needs and spirit of our time.

Being thoughtful, our design process delves into the client’s aspirations to create unique and efficient solutions that will enrich their lives and will promote better spaces for the whole society.

VISION

Pantheon, Rome. Longitudinal section

Pantheon, Rome. Longitudinal section. Example of construction consistency and timeless space that has endured for almost 2,000 years.

Architecture is an old discipline. Its origins coincide with the beginning of humankind itself and since then it has been nurtured by nature as it offers the most rational, lasting, and economic of all approaches.

Venustas (beauty), Firmitas (strength) and Utilitas (utility), the three fundamentals of our discipline, are the incarnation of these natural laws.

Even though we live in a world of advanced technology we inhabit a domain full of social injustice and natural depredation. Utilizing the physical principles that we find in nature and working with the advanced means available in the market today we can improve this situation.

At ONEARQ we see ourselves as part of a much bigger mechanism. We strongly believe that architecture can integrate and transform, cooperating harmoniously with the environment and social groups. Our logo identifies these ideas in a circle which means, inclusion, completion, perfection. On one side of the circle, we denote an "A" mark which means our effort as Architectural Designers to connect, transform, interact within this great chain.

ONEARQ strives to accomplish all these challenges with excellence and passion providing our clients a Bespoke, Innovative, and Sustainable (BIS) perspective.

This “BIS” design approach, has been the start point of all our projects and represents our commitment to transform our home “earth” into a better place for everyone.

HOW WE WORK

Drawing hands. M. C. Escher

Drawing hands. M. C. Escher.
This is how we visualize Client-Architect synergy within the design process.

We strongly believe that Architecture is a thoughtful and sensitive discipline. We educate ourselves every day in new ideas, concepts and technologies that give us the power to create new architectonic statements.

Our approach, at first, is very rational and inquisitive. We want to delve deep into the client’s needs and expectations. This is the raw material and main foundation over which we are going to consolidate the design proposal. The place, the means, and the budget are also very important elements that trigger potentials and restrictions to the project.

Later in the process, once we have got a clear realisation of what the project “will be”, we are prepared to explore forms, volumes, textures, colours, and materials which will consolidate the main idea of the job.

We look for great communication with our clients and we do our best to enrich the conversation before the decision making. This will produce a natural flow of ideas that will improve the design process and guarantee its final success.

At ONEARQ we prioritise quality over quantity providing designs of aesthetic elegance combined with construction consistency, rational budget, and meaningful presence.

We have a boutique approach that wants to investigate in the details but at the same time requires to be consistent with the original vision of the proposal. This will directly benefit the client but also the society as a whole.
